Team Sports Case Study
Ironsides Rugby are in my blood - they were the first club I played for when I moved to London and have been a pleasure to photograph in more recent years. With teams across all age groups, and more recently senior women's rugby, my focus has always been to capture the moment and produce dynamic images which showcase all of the ups and downs in a game of rugby.
Ironsides Rugby rebranded a number of years ago and as part of that project, they delivered a new vibrant website. What they needed to support that was high quality images which showed the public what they were all about. And that was my brief!
Knowing the game helps, but when I'm called upon to shoot one of their games, I'm looking for player's expressions, moments of glory or frustration, something a player will be proud of and to tell the story behind the victory and sometimes the loss.
FROM THE CLUB
A few comments from representatives at the club
Tim has been an invaluable resource for our rugby club over the last few seasons.
Tim has taken some fantastic shots during some of our most memorable weekends including professional standard coverage during our historic appearance at Twickenham in 2015.
Tim has an eye for the grand event - Twickenham for example - but also for more intimate, less glamorous moments before, during or after a game.
I would not hesitate in recommending Tim to other clubs or businesses for his services as an outstanding photographer.
Dan Marshall, Senior Chairman
Inviting Tim down to capture our rugby matches is always a pleasure. As a former rugby player and with his wealth of experience, he understands what we are looking for and is always pointing his lens in the right place at the right time, capturing the great moments of our matches.
His attention to detail is second-to-none and that is shown not only in his approach pre-match, but in his editing and presentation of the photos to us.
Seeing Tim on the sidelines always excites the players, they love to see the images he produces.
